Important Notice Regarding the Power Off Procedure*
The unit should only be disconnected from AC power after shutting down the device completely, and pressing the rear panel rocker switch to the "off" position. In addition, the rear panel switch should only be set to "off", after using one of the "Turn off" or shutdown procedures detailed below. Failure to do so may may result in un-mounting or corrupting the internal SSD drive, crippling or rendering the unit inoperative. If the unit experiences an improper shutdown and will not boot, please try a Factory Restore as detailed on this page.
1 - Power Off Using the Front Panel Power Button When the unit is in use, the front panel power button will shut the unit down completely when pressed, and will turn the unit back on when pressed. The power button is noticeably dimmer when the device is off than when in use. During shutdown, the power button light will flash and a message will appear on the front panel AMOLED - "Shutting Down... Please Wait", followed by the Aurender text and the model number of the unit beneath the text.
2- Power Off Using the Conductor App Play/Pause Button The "Play/Pause" button on the Conductor App will allow the user to restart or shut down the unit when long pressed, as shown in the image below. As when using the front panel power button, powering off the device from the App will prompt the unit's AMOLED to display "Shutting Down... Please Wait", followed by the Aurender text and the model number of the unit beneath the text.
3 - Power Off Using the Settings Menu on the Conductor App Another method for turning off the unit is to open the Settings Menu on the App and navigate to the Aurender Tab. Scrolling to the bottom of the window will show the option to Restart or Turn off the Aurender as shown in the image below. As with the other two methods, the unit's front panel AMOLED will indicate when it is turning off and the button will go dim once the procedure is complete.
Disconnecting the AC Power Cord Once the unit has been properly shut down, the power button will be illuminated, though dimmer than when the unit is in operation (as noted above). The AC power cord should only be removed when the power button is completely off (no illumination) by switching the unit's back panel power switch to the "off" position.
*Please note that units still using software version 4(5).5.80 or earlier, will have an optional Standby mode. We've since disabled this function and it's highly recommended to update the system software to the latest version to ensure the unit's stability and operation.
